Virtual Services
Virtual Estate Planning lets you create your estate plan without ever coming to our office. All attorney and staff meetings are conducted via phone or video conference giving you the most flexibility in scheduling and cutting out the driving time. All document and information exchanges are handled through an encrypted case management portal keeping all of your private information secure and safe.
Start the Process
The process usually starts with a quick phone call or email for us to receive your basic personal and contact information to create an access file to our digital estate planning system with bank-grade security.
After you activate your account, you will be asked to complete a simple intake form regarding your assets and family situation.
Once this information is received, your Attorney will contact you discuss the recommended strategies and the service packages available for your specific situation.
Design Your Plan
After you select the best option for your needs and budget, your attorney will contact you to schedule your estate plan design session. The estate plan design meeting will include an in-depth analysis of your family’s situation, a detailed explanation of various choices for structuring your estate plan, and advice and guidance in making decisions to best protect your loved ones.
If you finalize your estate plan design during the design session, your attorney will start drafting your documents immediately and you will receive the drafts for your review and approval within 7–10 business days.
If you still need sometime to think things through before making certain decisions, you will communicate with your attorney regarding the timeline for submission of your additional information and completion of your estate plan.
Review and Sign
You can review the document drafts at your convenience or schedule a review meeting with your attorney.
Then, we will schedule a signing meeting at the office or arrange for a mobile notary to come and notarize your documents at your home or office. Please note that the state of California does not allow electronic notarization, so the notary meeting will have to be in-person.
